Following their principle of Earth care, St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Beaverton, OR went so far as to redesign their roof to maximize their solar potential. With a vast expanse of southern exposure, their system offsets the amount of carbon equivalent to removing over 17 commuter vehicles from Oregon highways.
