School is back in session, so the Solarize U program has come to a close. With an extension through the summer, homeowners who were employed by colleges had an opportunity to use their time out of the classroom to learn about getting the best value for a solar installation.
We found that the Energysage platform was a very good fit for a targeted academic community. The website is a wonderful resource for researching everything from financing options, to manufacturers, to inverter types.
Sunlight Solar has contracted over 70kW through the Solarize U program alone. Although many leads came from our New Haven neighbors at Yale University, we also met with many homeowners from the other schools in the program, such as Wesleyan, Eastern, and Uconn.
Here are a few photos of some of the installations we have completed so far! We will update as more systems are installed.

I am interested in getting solar panels for my home (in Maynard, MA). However, I’m particularly interested in a Power Purchasing Agreement (rather than buying or leasing). Does your company offer PPAs?
Thank you.
