It is no secret that the Solarize program is hugely successful in getting more communities to go solar. In the past, Solarize campaigns have each been in one different city, town, or coalition. This spring, The Connecticut Green Bank and Smartpower have teamed up once again for a new program- this one called Solarize U. Solarize U will allow faculty, staff, and families of students at participating universities to take advantage of solar. Like the Solarize programs currently going on in South Windsor, Old Lyme, Lyme, and Woodstock, Solarize U will utilize the Energysage online marketplace. Sunlight Solar’s Connecticut offices are located in New Haven, so we are happy to be involved with some of our collegiate neighbors. The participating schools are listed below.
The deadline to sign a contract during this campaign is June 15, so there is plenty of time to learn more about the program. More information about workshops and events for Solarize U will be coming soon.
