Earth Day is April 22nd, and we are seeing a lot of local community events and green fairs in our area. Volunteering on Earth Day is a great way to help preserve the environment and meet new people in your community. You can help by picking up trash in parks and streets, working with a community farm, or volunteering your time with an environmental organization or event.
If you’re still looking for ways to get involved or celebrate Earth Day, here are a few resources that have listed events throughout Massachusetts.

This is a great opportunity for Massachusetts residents and families to help with spring clean up projects around the Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley. The Horticultural Society will also teach about about invasive plants and proper composting practices.
If you live in the Newton area, Sunlight Solar will be holding a free seminar about solar energy options for homeowners on Thursday, April 21st at 7:30pm at the Newton Cultural Center. You can RSVP to by sending an email to Amy.
