Hot Water Tanks

A storage tank is needed to store hot water for times when the sun is not shining.  Sunlight Solar can tie in to your existing hot water tank to another highly insulated tank, thus greatly increasing the storage capacity of hot water for your home, while also lengthening the time that the solar hot water can last without direct sunlight. This new tank serves as a pre-heater so the water entering your existing tank is already at or near 120 degrees, which means that your back-up heating (original tank) will turn on very minimally.

We use a variety of different tanks for different purposes: The Schuco Storage Tank serves only as storage and heat exchanger. It comes in an 80 gallon and 105 gallon size.  Your home’s existing boiler can also be tied into this tank to eliminate the need for two tanks.  Click here to view a spec sheet.

Another tank we use often is the US Rheem tank that comes in 80 and 120 gallon sizes. This tank works as a storage tank, heat exchanger, and also has a built in electrical heating element that can be used as back up. Click here to view a spec sheet.

All the tanks we use are designed with the latest in information and technology  to maximize heat retention and energy efficiency.
