Unirac

Our most commonly used racking system is Unirac.  Unirac offers two types of roof mounting systems: SolarMount and SunFrame.  SolarMount is a more traditional racking style in which the panels are held down by clips on the edges of the panels that are anchored into the rails below.  This style of racking leaves a one inch gap between the panels.  It does allow you to cantilever your array over the edge of the roof if you need more space.

SunFrame (pictured on the right) leaves no gaps between panels.  The panels are anchored into the rails below by a “capstrip” that is attached to the edge of each panel.  The result is beautiful sleek array with no gaps between panels.

Schüco Mounting Systems

Sunlight Solar is also proud to use Schüco SolarEZ mounting systems for a large variety of our installations to enable fast, easy mounting of all Schüco PV modules, as well as all other major standard PV modules. These products are engineered to maximize ease of installation and minimize time on the roof and they are also designed to incorporate features that keeps them locked together, tightly and securely. Flashing

As a standard practice, Sunlight Solar flashes all roof penetrations for our PV jobs with QuickMountPV or a similar product. Flashings protect the integrity of the roof and assure a longer-lasting and sturdier installation, in line with the expected longevity of the solar panels we use (design life of 40+ years).
