A letter from our customers: Shannon Dow & Paul Evans

Dow & Evans Residence - 8 kW - Morris, CT

We recently installed an 8 kW photovoltaic system on the home of Shannon & Paul in Morris, CT. After the installation, Shannon and Paul wrote us a beautiful thank you letter.  We love hearing from our satisfied customers, and want to share their response publicly.  The letter is posted below in its entirety.

Sunlight Solar (CT) recently installed a pv system for our home and I had to write to say how pleased we were with the entire operation. Truthfully, I don’t remember what first brought us to Sunlight Solar two years ago, but it was system designer Dave Usdan’s extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant demeanor that brought us back to Sunlight Solar when we were able to take advantage of the Renewable Energy Credit/loan program. When we reconnected with Sunlight Solar in April, Dave immediately remembered us and our site. He worked through a weekend helping us apply for the loan in time. As construction coordinator, Sara Pyne kept us well-informed and also was very pleasant to work with.

Our installers, Nick Michaelson and John Galvin went far and above expectations. They were here early in the mornings, worked in very hot weather, dealt with a temperamental truck, and even installed panels in the rain! Both were extremely professional and friendly and kept us informed every step of the way. When a rewiring issue came up, they worked many hours on a very hot roof and in an even hotter attic to correct the problem. Although we haven’t received our first electric bill, we can see by looking at the meter just how well the system is working so far.

In this day and age, working with a professional, courteous, and extremely nice individual is rare. To work with four of them from the same company is absolutely amazing and it is a hallmark of your company. It has been a pleasure and I would happily recommend Sunlight Solar to anyone.

Sincerely,
Shannon Dow and Paul Evans

The cost of a solar electric system varies from homeowner to homeowner. In order to give an accurate quote, we need to assess the homeowner’s electric usage as well as the site conditions of the house. This particular homeowner participated in the CT Solar Lease Program, which means they did not have to pay any money out-of-pocket for their system. Though the CT Solar Lease Program is no longer available, the Clean Energy Finance & Investment Authority (CEFIA) is planning on creating a new lease program sometime early 2012. Please contact Rachel in our CT office for further information or if you would like a quote for your home: (203) 878-9123 or Send Email.
