Northwest Solar Expo 2010
At this year’s NW Solar Expo in Portland, OR, Sunlight Solar showcased our newly converted Prius plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. Shorepower technologies recently converted our Prius to a PHEV so that the battery can be charged at either any normal household outlet, or at a “super-fast” charging station, like the one Shorepower is displaying here. Our office in Bend, OR also has a Shorepower charging station, which makes short trips around town fuel-free.

Boston Green Fest 2009
This August, our Massachusetts employees Diana Bercury and Emily Chambers attended the annual Boston Green Fest. The Green Fest is sponsored by many local eco-friendly companies, including Sunlight Solar Energy. “Boston GreenFest 2009 is an entertaining education festival celebrating the many ways we can create a better world through greening our neighborhoods, our communities and the entire Boston area.” You can read more about the event here.

2009 SolAire Salmon Run
This year our Oregon branch was a sponsor of the Annual SolAire Salmon Run. Now in its 17th year, the SolAire Salmon Run is one of Central Oregon’s largest 5K and 10K races. More than 600 people attend as participants, spectators, and volunteers–including Sunlight Solar Employees! Over the last 17 years, the SolAire Salmon Run has awarded more than $60,000 to protect and enhance local fish habitat and educate children and adults about the importance of a healthy, diverse river ecosystem.
