Annalisa volunteers at Animal Shelter
Sunlight Solar’s Annalisa Paltauf is a volunteer at the New Haven Animal Shelter and is there three days a week walking and socializing adoptable dogs. The New Haven Animal Shelter is the largest animal shelter in Connecticut, with over 60 dog kennels and it takes in about 2,000 dogs and cats each year! The main goal of volunteers at the shelter is to increase adoption and decrease euthanasia, to reduce pet overpopulation, and to enhance the quality of life for the animals by providing care beyond the shelter’s ability. This is done through socializing the animals, behavioral training, and improving the shelter environment. If you are interested in adopting a pet or becoming a volunteer, please visit findafriendforlife.org.
Earth Day 2011
For Earth Day, the Sunlight Solar crew volunteered with the Massachusetts Horticultural Society at the Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley, MA. Samantha, Amy, Chris, and Ryan spent the afternoon trimming shrubs and removing invasive plant species.

All proceeds from the race will be donated to the Susan G.Komen Breast Cancer Fund. In addition to helping a good cause, Annalisa placed first in her age group, finishing the course in 27:12!
