Oregon State Incentives
- The Energy Trust of Oregon (ETO) Rebate offers Pacific Power & PGE customers an instantaneous buy-down incentive paid to the customer pending their approval of the system. The commercial cash incentive for Pacific Power customers varies from $.90-$1.50 per watt up to a maximum of $180,000. The commercial cash incentive for PGE customers ranges from $.80-$1.75 per watt up to a maximum of $640,000. For more information, visit the ETO Commercial page.
- Oregon also offers a state tax credit. Businesses can qualify for a tax credit of 50% of the installed system cost! For projects with an installed cost over $20,000 the credit is claimed in 10% increments over the course of five years.

- Leasing
Leasing provides one of the easiest and cheapest ways to go solar. Our financial partners cover the entire installation cost and lease you the solar panels. Typically, contract terms last for 5 to 10 years and customers see savings on electricity costs.
- Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA)
Under a PPA, solar panels are installed with the total installation cost paid by a third party or PPA provider. Your business purchases the solar electricity directly from the PPA provider. Typically, terms are for 10, 15, or 20 years and clients see savings in electricity costs that increase over time.
- Business Loans and Equity Lines of Credit
Business loans and equity lines of credit offer another financial option. SSE’s solar systems provide a return on investment of 5 to 8 years on projects financed through business loans and equity lines of credit. Your SSE commercial system designer will clarify how term lengths and interest rates affect your return on investment.
